NCPG is the administrator for the ICGC (International Certified Gambling Counselor) credentials. Special certifications are available for clergy/lay ministers, co-occurring disorder specialists, and video-gaming disorder.

Requirements include a Bachelors degree or equivalent (such as a license or certification) in a recognized behavioral health field; specified training hours; supervised clinical experience; and national exam.
